D.P., which stands for ‘Deserter Pursuit’, will focus on an army unit that tracks down deserters. JUNG will play army private Jun-ho, a member of the unit who becomes conflicted about his role in deciding the fate of the confused young soldiers he must track down. KOO and KIM will play corporal Ho-yeol and sergeant Bum-gu, respectively, fellow members of the unit. SON will play Ji-seob, a lieutenant who disapproves of the unit. Director HAN and webtoon creator KIM Bo-tong are collaborating on the script for the series.
Rising star JUNG Hae-in was recently seen in the melodrama Tune in for Love (2019) and the comedy START-UP (2019). Indie sensation KOO Kyo-hwan was known for Jane (2017) and his behind the screen work, such as being a producer on Maggie (2019), until he became known to the general public as a memorable antagonist in this summer’s Peninsula. Veteran supporting star KIM Sung-kyun is known for his work in close to 30 features, stretching from Nameless Gangster : Rules of the Time (2012) all the way to The Divine Move 2: The Wrathful (2019). SON Suk-ku got his first break in the second season of the Netflix series Sense8 and is currently shooting The Outlaws 2.
Director HAN is known for his hit debut Coin Locker Girl (2015), a female gang thriller that debuted in the Critics’ Week sidebar of the Cannes Film Festival. He followed that up with the action-drama Hit-and-Run Squad last year, which also starred SON.
Lezhin Studios is producing the project, their second for Netflix after the YEON Sang-ho project Hellbound, which is also in pre-production.
