JUNG Hae-in, born in 1988, majored in entertainment media and even took part in musical plays, but didn’t think about pursuing an acting career until a few years later, while he was doing his mandatory military service. He made his first screen appearance in a music video in 2013, but really debuted the following year when he landed a supporting role in the fantasy drama series <Bride of the Century> (2014). His first roles on the big screen came shortly thereafter, with a support part in the indie drama film <The Youth> (2014). He was later cast for two historical films, the action flick <The Age of Blood> (2015) as one of the protagonists and the comedy <The King’s Case Note> (2016), both of which were released in 2017. After a short appearance in the hit melodrama series <Guardian: The Lonely and Great God> (2016-2017), which became a cultural phenomenon in Korea, he gained wider recognition starring alongside BAE Suzy and LEE Jong-suk in the fantasy melodrama series <While You Were Sleeping> (2017). Later that year, he was offered once again a role in a historical film, this time playing the King in the period drama <Heung-boo: The Revolutionist> (2017). In 2018, his performance as the male lead alongside SON Ye-jin in romance drama series <Something in the Rain> propelled him to stardom throughout Asian.
