Singapore and Indonesia Indulge in Korean Film

Korean Film Festivals Kick Off in October
 

The 6th Korea-Indonesia Film Festival and the 8th Korean Film Festival Singapore are set to kick off later this month. The Indonesian event, which starts on October 23rd, will feature 11 Korean films, while the Singaporean festival will screen five recent Korean features from October 29th.
 
Featuring blockbusters of many stripes, the Korea-Indonesia Film Festival will screen box office favorites Roaring Currents, Miss Granny, Snowpiercer, Secretly Greatly and A Werewolf Boy(2012), as well as The Target, No Tears for the Dead, Mr. Go, The Spy: Undercover Operation, Confession of Murder(2012) and the animation Pororo: The Racing Adventure. In addition, this year’s event will feature special guest actor LEE Kwang-soo (Confession) and screen a quartet of Indonesian films for the first time. Taking place in Blitz Megaplex theatres in Jakarta, Bandung and Batam, the event will run until October 28th.
 
Chart topper Roaring Currents will also grace screens in the Korean Film Festival Singapore, alongside Boomerang Family, Miss Granny, Punch(2011) and opening film Thread of Lies. The festival, which will take place in the Shaw Theatres Lido and wraps up on November 2nd, features the subtitle ‘Family Box’.
