Born in 1996, CHOI Sungeun entered the acting school of the Korea National University of Arts in 2015. With only a few short student films and a role on stage in a Korean production of Rob Drummond’s <Grain in the Blood> under her belt, Choi landed her first major role in a feature film after passing an audition for the comedy <START-UP> (2019), playing a woman with a short fuse alongside Don Lee (aka Ma Dongseok). For this scene-stealing performance, she picked up Best New Actress from the Chunsa Film Festival. She was then cast in <Joan’s Galaxy> (2020), LEE Yoon-jung’s segment in the SF anthology series <SF8>. In 2020, she was back on screen as the main protagonist of the indie drama <TEN Months>. She is set to headline in 2022 the streaming platform Wavve’s Original Film <Gentlemen>.
