AHN Bo-hyun, born in 1988, was initially training to be a professional boxer. He first started his career as a model in 2007, and walked the runway for the Seoul Collection. Five years later, he decided to quit and do what many former models did before him, moving to acting. He went to an acting school and in 2014 made his debut with a small role in TV series <Golden Cross> (2014), soon followed by his first film role in <HIYA> (2015). AHN could also be seen in <Descendants of the Sun> (2016), the melodrama series that took Asia by storm, and he even ventured abroad, first with the Japan-Korea co-produced film <Memories of a Dead End> (2018), which was shot in Nagoya, and later in China with Hunan Television’s fantasy drama series <Investiture of the Gods> (2019). He rose to stardom in 2020 when he starred in the hit series <Itaewon Class> (2020) as the heir to a big conglomerate seeking vengeance on the protagonist, a role for which he was nominated for the Beaksang Arts Award for Best Newcomer.
