Seoul National of Arts Acting Department graduate KIM Won-hae was born in 1969. He debuted on the stage and appeared in numerous plays before turning his attention to film. He first film role was in LEE Kwang-mo’s <Spring in My Hometown> in 1998. It wasn’t until 2009 that KIM returned to the screen, where he has stayed ever since. His comeback role was a part in JANG Jin’s <Good Morning President>. KIM has been a close associate of JANG’s ever since, appearing in all of subsequent films, including <The Quiz Show Scandal> (2010), <Romantic Heaven> (2011), <Man on High Heel> and <We Are Brothers> (both 2011) and the hugely successful Korean version of the US sketch show <Saturday Night Live>, which has been on air since 2011.

KIM has also been a presence on TV, appearing in at least one drama per year since 2012, including the smash hit 2014 program <Misaeng>. Besides JANG’s comedies, KIM has proven to be a versatile supporting actor, appearing in the hit youth film <Sunny> (2011), the late summer chiller <Hide and Seek> (2013), the period naval epic smash <Roaring Currents> (2014), the period action film <The Pirates> (2014), the mountaneering drama <The Himalayas> in 2015 and the judicial action-thriller <A Violent Prosecutor> the following year.
