Born in 1994, GONG Myung is an actor and singer. Even though he first played in the Ice River segment of film anthology <If You Were Me 6> (2012), he made his public debut in 2013 as a member of K-pop act 5urprise. Indeed, he was selected along with 4 other aspiring actors to form the boy group 5urprise, presented as the first K-pop actor group. As such, their official debut was a 12-episode web series, <After School: Lucky or Not> (2013), of which they also recorded the songs of the soundtrack. GONG quickly stood out as one of the most prolific members, as he appeared the next year in two critically acclaimed films, KIM Kyung-mook’s indie comedy <Futureless Things> (2013), a collection of vignettes all set in a convenient store, and July JUNG’s <A Girl at My Door> (2014), in which he played against BAE Doona. Mostly active on the smaller screen, he landed his first lead role in the series <The Happy Loner> in 2017. His comeback to films couldn’t have been more dramatic, as he was part of the main cast of <Extreme Job> (2018), the police comedy that exceeded all expectations upon its release in early 2019, becoming a cultural phenomenon and the second most selling film ever in Korea. GONG is currently majoring in acting at Dong Seoul University.
