KYUNG Su-jin, born in 1987, discovered a passion in acting when she was in middle school, after watching historical drama TV series <Ladies in Palace> (2001). Even though she first enrolled for a bachelor in sports industry, she eventually dropped out and signed up for an acting school. After a short appearance in period drama series <New Tales of Gisaeng> (2011), she debuted with a supporting role in the indie drama film <HOLLY> (2011), soon followed by the 2012 TV drama series <Man from the Equator>, where she played the younger version of one of the protagonists. She was first noticed in 2013 for her striking resemblance with SON Ye-jin, as she played the famous actress’ young double in the TV series <Don’t Look Back: The Legend of Orpheus> (2013). She gained further recognition a few months later when she headlined the soap opera <Eunhui> (2013-2014), as part of the <KBS TV Novel> program. Following a support part in the period comedy film <The King’s Case Note> (2016), she was cast as one of the main characters in the sports drama series <Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo> (2016-2017), which earned a cult following despite its initial lukewarm reception.
