PARK Nu-ri majored in advertising, but her involvement within a filmmaking club brought her to films. As soon as she graduated in 2004, she strived to work in this field and eventually found a job as a production assistant in early 2005, through an online ad, for on <Unforgettable> (2008). Her next assignments were as script supervisor on <Master KIMs> (2006) and <The Devil’s Game> (2007). In the following years, she progressively climbed the ranks until she was hired as First Assistant Director for RYOO Seung-wan’s <The Unjust> (2010). RYOO chose her again as his First AD for his next film <The Berlin File> (2012).
She made her directing debut in 2018 with <Money>, which is set against the background of high finance. In order to research her subject, she spent one year commuting every day to the financial district of Yeouido, where she would work on the script in coffee shops while observing firsthand the life patterns and preoccupations of traders.
