JEONG Keun-seob entered the film industry in the late 1990s, first working as an assistant director on <Naked Being> (1998). He continued to work as an AD on <Taxi of Terror> (2000) and the breakout gangster comedy hit <Hi, Dharma!> (2001). He proceeded to find a way to make his own film but that chance would not come until 2013, when he released the crime thriller <Montage>. Reminiscent of his role in BONG Joon-ho’s iconic <Memories of Murder> (2003), the film starred KIM Sang-kyung as a detective unable to track down a killer. Five days shy of the 15 year statute of limitations on the case, he discovers a new clue and frantically tries to solve the murder. At the same time, the victim’s mother, played by UHM Jeong-hwa, is also desperate for answers. <Montage> became a sizeable hit in the spring.
