Born in 1983, LEE Ha-nee (aka Honey LEE) won the Miss Korea contest in 2006 and eventually earned third place in the Miss Universe contest in 2007. She also attended the prestigious Seoul National University, majoring in Korean traditional music. As a screen performer, she debuted on the small screen in TV series in 2009, appearing in programs such as <Partner> (2009) and <Pasta> (2010). Her silver screen break came in 2011, when she starred in the action-thriller <HIt> (2011). Her next role was as part of the main cast of the smash hit 2012 disaster thriller <Deranged> (2012). That same summer, she also appeared in the Joseon dynasty-set period comedy <I Am a King>. After appearing in E J-yong’s ensemble mockumentary <Behind the Camera> (2012), which screened at the Busan International Film Festival and the Berlinale, among others, LEE was back in commercial fare with the highly anticipated sequel <Tazza: The Hidden Card> in 2014. That year she received a Popular Star Award from the Grand Bell Awards, and the next year she was nominated for the Best New Actress awards from the Grand Bell and Baeksang Arts Film Awards. Continuing to prove wrong those who thought she was nothing more than a pretty face, LEE was next seen alongside LEE Sung-min in <SORI: Voice from the Heart>, which bowed during the Lunar New Year holiday in early 2016. She then appeared in the crime action film <Fabricated City> (2016) and the courtroom drama <Heart Blackened> (2017). The year 2018 saw her jump to new heights, starring as a cop in the sensational hit comedy <Extreme Job> (2018), which scored the second highest admission haul ever in Korea. Later that year, she took by surprise the audience once again by playing an international trade specialist in CHUNG Ji-young’s financial thriller <BLACK MONEY> (2019).
