Fascinated by the elegant movement of martial arts film characters, JI cultivated his love form the film. Graduated as a Directing major at the Korean National University of Arts Department of Filmmaking. Has affection for genre films like western, hardboiled, and horror etc and mostly made horror and thriller flicks while studying in film school. For his 2 years service at publishing company Book21, he adapted Shakespeares four great tragedies into graphic novel scenarios. In the summer of 2010, funded by himself and a friend, he made western style feature-length film ‘Bloody Fight in Iron-Rock Valley. He is getting ready to open a small film production company called Spinach N Bean production. It will be organized as a director/cinematographer/producer format, and will mostly prepare and produce horror & action films. The company name comes from the ‘spinach and beans that the outlaws of Sam Peckinpah eat as everyday food.
