Born in 1986, CHOI Daniel has forged a career for himself as an actor, but also as a DJ and television host. A graduate of Gwangmun High School and the Chungwoon University’s Broadcasting and Acting Department, CHOI, who hails from a family of government workers (his father is in the Military Academy and his brother is a civil servant), took his first steps as a performer in the TV dramas <School Story> in 2002 and the following year’s <Golden Apple>.
After building his popularity through more TV shows, CHOI debuted in the cinema sector with a role in the horror title <Yoga> in 2009. Following that small part, CHOI took on a starring role in the romantic comedy <Cyrano Agency> the next year. Dealing with a unique troupe of performers who become a cupid service for clients, the film was an enormous hit, raising CHOI’s profile further. Following a cameo in the indie fantasy drama <The Peachtree>, CHOI struck gold at the box office once again when he teamed up with star IM Chang-jung for the late summer organ harvesting thriller <Traffickers> in 2012. The following year saw him play opposite JUNG Jae-Young in the time travel sci-fi <AM 11:00>. He was back on screens opposite SON Hyun-ju in the thriller <The Chronicles of Evil> in 2015. That same year he teamed up with IM again for the buddy cop thriller <Untouchable Lawmen>. CHOI has also been an anchorman for KBS World Radio since 2011 and a DJ on KBS 2FM since 2013.
