CHOI Gang-hee became noticed for her role in the first of the <Whispering Corridors> series, the epitome of Korean horror films. She played a high school girl who holds a key to the entire secret. She got a baby’s face and pure look, which put her in the high school teen dramas till her mid 20’s. The fresh-faced girl next-door became more widely known in the film <Wanee and Junah>. The audience thought she was cute and lovely when she played the scene where she was on a bicycle, got drunk, and made a playful and intriguing complaint to a boy she secretly had crush on. Her first box office hit is the romantic comedy film <My Scary Girl> where she plays a ruthless but sweet murderer. It was the moment when her acting career started to flourish. Her eccentric beauty enlivens the romantic comedy film <Petty Romance> where she plays a sex columnist falling in love with an adult cartoonist played by [LEE Sun-kyun]. She is as eccentric as her fellow actress [Doona BAE] but they are a bit different. She is like an “adorable naughty boy” who plays pranks and just run away. It is the child’s natural playfulness and innocence that make her adorable. Her playful image was used to full extent in the rural dramedy <Happiness for Sale> in 2013, which paired her with a group of child actors.
