CHO Min-Soo debuted in 1986 via the KBS TV Cultural Center and actively performed as main characters on the screen, culminating in a Best Act Award at the KBS Academy Awards in 1989. She subsequently played in <Sandglass>, <Daemang> and <Piano> and settled down as a veteran actress. After her marriage in 2005, she took a break from her acting career, but returned four years later with her enthusiastic performance in <Will It Snow on Christmas?> in 2009. Following a supporting part in the 2011 hit <Sunny>, CHO made a big splash as the lead in KIM Ki-duk’s <Pieta>, which earned the Golden Lion at the Venice International Film Festival in 2012. CHO won a number of Best Actress prizes for her part in the film. Reflecting her newly-minted status as on the top middle-aged actress in Korean cinema, CHO joined UHM Jeong-hwa and MOON So-ri in the women’s film <Venus Talk>, released in early 2014.
