Born in 1970, JEON Mi-sun debuted as an actress in 1986 with an episode of anthology series <MBC Bestseller Theater> before she was offered a supporting role in TV series <Land> (1988-1989). In 1990, she made her big screen debut as part of the main cast in the high school drama film <Let’s Look At The Sky Sometimes>. Around the same time, she also started to make frequent appearances in the MBC comedy show <Today is a good day>, to the point where many people knew her first and foremost as a comedian. She later landed support parts in classic melodrama films <Christmas in August> (1998) and <Bungee Jumping Of Their Own> (2001). Having made a strong impression with her performance in <Memories of Murder> (2003), her first leading role in a film came in 2004 with <Love Is A Crazy Thing> (2004). She enjoyed a remarkable streak of hits in the 2010s, as she received supporting roles in TV series such as <Royal Family> (2011), <Moon Embracing the Sun> (2012), <The Return of Hwang Geum-bok> (2015) and <Love in the Moonlight> (2016), while also appearing in the sleeper hit horror film <Hide and Seek> (2013). Particularly active on television over the last few years with up to six TV series in 2017 only, she was already taking part in the promotion of the royal court drama film <The King’s Letters> (2019), in which she played the queen consort to SONG Kang-ho’s King Sejong the Great, when she passed away on June 29, 2019 in an apparent suicide. JEON was married to cinematographer PARK Sang-hun.
