JANG Kwang was a successful voice actor and dubber for decades until he suddenly found himself in front of the camera for none other than the highly successful and controversial Silenced. His dual role, as the principal and janitor of a school for the hearing-impaired where sexual abuse is rampant, shocked a lot of viewers and quickly drew him a lot of notices. The next year saw him appear in Love Clinique and Confession of Murder but his most notable roles were in the blockbuster hit Masquerade, as a loyal Eunuch and 26 Years, as former Korean president CHUN Doo-hwan. His brief film career had already left a huge impact and continues in this vein after appearing in JANG Cheol-soo’s highly anticipated Bedevilled (2010) follow-up Secretly Greatly. More supporting parts followed in 2014, including a crooked corporate head in <Tabloid Truth> and a magical photographer in Lunar New Year hit <Miss Granny>. He also did voice work for <The Road Called Life>. The next year featured a wide variety of parts for JANG, such as HA Jung-woo’s period drama <Chronicles of a Blood Merchant>, court drama <Minority Opinion>, high concept romcom <Mutant> and the thriller <Extraterritoriality>.
