LIM Soo-jung displayed her exquisite interpretation of daily life in the movie <..ing>. This movie portrayed a coming-of-age love story of a young girl who was just like any other save for her grave illness. Even at a young age, LIM Soo-jung established herself as a character actor. Later she extended her reach to TV dramas and developed her star power. It was the TV melodrama, <Sorry, I Love You>, in which she co-starred with [SO Ji-sub] that brought her to fame. The drama had a loyal following as she breathed life into her character Eunchae and her troubled past. Ever since, she has developed a unique female character in her own sphere. Famous movie directors are lining up to work with her. She ventured out to a new genre by playing a delusional girl who believed she was a cyborg in the high-concpet movie <I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK> directed by [PARK Chan-wook]. In <Happiness> directed by [HUR Jin-ho], she portrayed a woman who blindly fell in love with [HWANG Jung-min]’s character and expressed a depth of sensibility. Although her characters are grounded in reality, she projects a strangely surreal image. This image made her a perfect fit for her role in <Woochi>, a story of a spiritual warrior. She portrayed an impossible love in <Finding My Destiny> where her heroin started a search for her first love without any information but his name. With the film <Come Rain, Come Shine>, LIM was invited to the Berlin International Film Festival, along with [HYUN Bin] and director [LEE Yoon-ki]. In 2012 she delighted viewers with her energietic trun in alongside [LEE Sun-kun] and [RYOO Seung-ryong] in [MIN Kyu-dong]’s <All about My Wife>. LIM then took a break for three years before returning with a pair of romantic thrillers, first 2015’s <Perfect Proposal> alongside YOO Yeon-seok and then KWAK Jae-young’s parallel timeline film <Time Renegades> the following year.
