A popular performer in the field of TV dramas and recipient of many awards, Korea National University of Arts graduate Yoo-sun (born WANG Yoo-sun) has steadily been raising her profile in the realm of film. She got her silver screen start in 1999’s Mayonnaise and was featured in CHOI Dong-hoon’s The Big Swindle (2004) as well as a number of horror films such as Uninvited (2003), The Wig (2005) and Black House (2007). However, her star really began to rise in 2010 as she began to appear in a number of films directed or produced by KANG Woo-suk such as Moss (2010), GLove (2011) and JANG Jin’s Romantic Heaven (2011). In 2012, she took on major supporting roles in the romantic comedy Neverending Story and the period thriller Gabi and had her first starring role in Don’t Cry Mommy. In this difficult film, which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival, she bared her soul as a distraught mother coming to terms with the rape and suicide of her child. Yoo-sun is still very active on the small screen as well.
