SHIN Se-kyung carries a unique sad yet alluring ambience, not easily found in other actresses her age. She first earned her fame after appearing on the album cover and poster for popular singer SEO Tae-ji in 1998. The eight-year-old SHIN stares into the camera with a sorrowful face with tears streaming down her face. Eleven years later, she was cast as a poor housekeeper in the sitcom ‘High Kick Through the Roof’ (2009), where she received the spotlight once again for her innocent beauty, voluptuous figure, and sad eyes. SHIN tried to transform her image by playing a rebellious killer in <Hindsight> but received unfavorable reviews. But soon she was largely praised by critics for her role in the TV series ‘Deep Rooted Tree’ as a wise court lady who helps King Sejong invent Hangul, the Korean alphabet. This year, SHIN will take on the challenge of another transformation, this time as a jet pilot in the film <Soar into the Sun>. Following some work on TV, SHIN next appeared on the silver screen as part of the cast on the crime sequel <Tazza: The Hidden Card>, which was released during the Chuseok holiday in 2014. In it, she played the love interest of lead CHOI Seung-hyun.
