RYU Hun-Kyung debuted at the age of 12 in 1996 as young the KIM Hye-Soo in the SBS Drama <Soup> and has been acting ever since. In <The Servant>, she played Hyang-Dan and was both seductive and innocent. Later, she strengthened her presence in Chungmooro by playing important roles in the movies <Cyrano: Love Agency> and <Petty Romance>. In 2011, she took a main role for the first time in 16 years in the movie <Mama>. Moreover, she has directed short films such as <Heart Robber> and <Kwang Tae's Basic Story> as well the music video of Jung-In’s <Rainy Season>. She appeared in the queer film <Two Weddings and a Funeral> in 2012 before starring alongside KIM In-gwon in <Born to Sing> and playing shaman KIM Geum-hwa in the documentary drama <Manshin: Ten Thousands Spirits> from director PARK Chan-kyong. Ever busy, RYU was next seen in YIM Soon-rye’s true-life stem cell scandal expose <The Whistleblower>, featured on the voice cast of <The Road Called Life>, joined the ensemble thriller <The Office>, which went to the Cannes Film Festival’s Midnight Screenings, KIM Sang-jin’s comedy <Three Summer Night> and was one of the leads in IM Sangsoo’s crime pic <My Intimate Enemies>.
