KIM Sang-ho has been gaining popularity with his roles in the movies <The Big Swindle>, <Tazza: The High Rollers>, and <Happy Life>. Later, starting with the drama <The Kingdom of the Winds>, he appeared in <Triple>, <Prosecutor Princess>, and <Sparkling>. Increasingly busy of late, KIM Sang-ho recently appeared in the variety show <Come to Play>, showing off his affability and formidable skills as a performer. Displaying his ‘larger-than-life’ presence with his big roles, he is sometimes referred to as the Korean Jack Black, and has since become one of Korea’s the most important veteran actors. KIM continues to draw acclaim for his affable supporting roles in thrillers such as 2011’s <Moby Dick> and the 2014 blockbuster <Sea Fog>. He also extended into drama for LEE Joon-ik’s well-received <Hope> in 2013. KIM was next seen as a commercial fisherman in the acclaimed maritime thriller <Haemoo>, directed by SHIM Sung-bo and producer by BONG Joon-ho. Three roles followed in 2015, including a bit part in the high concept romcom <The Beauty Inside>, the family comedy <Wonderful Nightmare> and the period hunting drama <The Tiger: An Old Hunter's Tale>.
