Graduating from Yonsei University and Korean Film Academy, KIM Young worked as a co-producer of Director KIM Jee-woon's <A Tale of Two Sisters> (2003), and as executive producer of <Twentidentity> (2004), the digital short film omnibus project including pieces of Director BONG Joon-ho and KIM Tae-yong, created for the 20th Anniversary of Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA). She also worked as producer of Director E J Yong's media arts project, <A Tale of One City 9404> (2004). Her producer career continued at Motion 101, the development and production arm of a Showbox affiliate. As executive producer at KAFA+, the Korean Film Academy's feature-length film production branch, KIM supported KAFA’s independent film development and production of <I'm in Trouble> (2009) and <Men Without Women> (2009), and marketing and distribution of <Members Of The Funeral> (2008), <The Room Nearby> (2008) and <One Day After> (2008) among others. This led her to the position of head of CJ CGV's variety cinema chain, CGV Movie Collage (the former brand name of CGV Arthouse) and later on, as head of cinema business department of CJ CGV America in LA, under the umbrella of CJ E&M US.
