Don Lee-starring movie WILDERNESS confirmed to be released on Netflix
Directed by Heo Myeong-hoeng, the action director of THE OUTLAWS and TRAIN TO BUSAN
Actor Don Lee's movie Wilderness will be released to more than 190 countries around the world through online streaming service Netflix.
Wilderness is an action-packed blockbuster film that portrays the struggle for survival among those living in a lawless wasteland dominated by power in a post-apocalyptic setting.
Wilderness is the first directorial work by Heo Myeong-hoeng, who has previously served as the action director for various works such as The Outlaws, Phantom, Hunt, Train to Busan, and The Good, the Bad, the Weird. Director Huh Myung-haeng and Don Lee will once again work together following the action movie series The Roundup, which drew 10 million viewers for the first time since the pandemic.
In addition to this, actor Lee Hee-jun, who crosses the characters of good and evil in Oh! My Gran, The Man Standing Next, and 1987: When the Day Comes, Lee Joon-young, who has performed actively in the Netflix original movie Love and Leashes as well as series Mask Girl and D.P., and Noh Jeong-eui, who has been recognized for her roles in drama Our Beloved Summer and 18 again performs enthusiastically in the movie.
Wilderness is a co-production between Climax Studio, which previously showcased hit productions like Netflix originals Hellbound, D.P., and Ballerina, and Big Punch Pictures, known for the The Roundup series, with Nova Film, which has solid production know-how. The film's release schedule has not been finalized yet and is currently under internal review.
