Hunt, Actor Lee Jungjae’s Directorial Debut Film, Opens the 7th London East Asia Film Festival
A Special Exhibition of Actor Lee Jungjae’s Acting Career for 28 Years Will Be Held Together
Hunt, Actor Lee Jungjae’s directorial debut film, has been selected to open the 7th London East Asia Film Festival, which will open on October 19. Along with Hunt, the opening film, the festival will showcase 11 Korean films, including Emergency Declaration, The Roundup, Homage, The Apartment with Two Women, Virga, and Fanatic.
The 7th London East Asia Film Festival, which opens with Hunt, also organized a special exhibition showcasing films that Actor Lee Jungjae has starred in, who won the Emmy Award for the first time as an Asian actor for Netflix's Squid Game. Through the special exhibition, the films representing 28 years of Lee Jungjae’s acting career will be screened, including The Young Man, his debut film in 1994, as well as his hit films such as Deliver Us From Evil, The Housemaid, and New World. In addition, the festival said they plan to make and publish ‘The Theory of Actor Lee Jungjae,’ which consists of the writings of British film critics, for Lee Jungjae, who has become a global star and is making various moves.
Starting with the red carpet of the opening ceremony, Actor Lee Jungjae will participate in various events, including the screening of the opening film Hunt, Conversations with the Audience, and the special events ‘Actor's Night’ to meet with British audiences in person.
The London East Asia Film Festival is the UK's largest Asian film festival and has introduced Asian films that attracted attention each year to European audiences. The 7th London East Asia Film Festival will showcase about 50 films that lead the flow of Asian films, including Korean films, at the 5 major theaters in London, centering Odeon Luxe Leicester Square for 12 days from October 19 to 30.
