Simultaneous Released with Korea in Many Parts of the World
Director Han Jaerim's Emergency Declaration has been invited to the 55th SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival. The SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival, which will be held for 10 days from October 6, is considered one of the world's ‘Big 3’ fantastic film festivals along with the Brussels Fantastic Film Festival and the Portugal Fantasporto Film Festival. The Orbita section, where Emergency Declaration has been invited, is a Competition section where thriller, action, and black comedy genre films compete. Korean films such as The Spy Gone North (2018) and Believer (2018) were invited to the same section.
Starting with its domestic release on August 3rd, Emergency Declaration is spurring global box office success through its simultaneous overseas release. It was released in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand on August 4, the United States, Canada, Taiwan on August 12, Indonesia on August 16, and Australia on August 18 (all local time). The Singaporean media Geek Culture said, “It's a movie with enough thrill to keep the audience on edge. The highlight is the breathtaking scene shot on a perfectly made set, and you can see passengers swaying around in their seats when the plane is turned over. You will feel like you are with the passengers on the plane.”
Emergency Declaration depicts a story about various emotions of people facing the unprecedented disaster of an airplane that has declared an unconditional landing, starring Song Kangho, Lee Byunghun, Jeon Doyeon, Kim Namgil, Im Siwan, Kim Sojin, and Park Haejoon.
