MISS & MRS. COPS Director to Portray Singers YOO Jae-ha and KIM Hyun-sik in Sophomore Film
SONG Joong-ki is reportedly considering an offer to star in the 1980s-set music biopic Your and My Season (translated title), in which he would play alongside the already confirmed JIN Seon-kyu. JIN is on board to play singer KIM Hyun-sik while SONG is considering the role of YOO Jae-ha. Both actors recently performed together in the big-budget space drama Victory Ship (translated title), which is expected to see release at some point this year.
JIN, a veteran character actor who shot to stardom through his scene-stealing turn as a violent gangster in THE OUTLAWS (2017), has recently appeared in hits such as Dark Figure of Crime (2018), Extreme Job (2019) and Money (2019).
SONG, one of Korea’s most well-known faces is famous across the big and small screen. His major film credits include A Werewolf Boy (2012) and The Battleship Island (2017). He began filming the youth action-drama Bogota in Colombia earlier this year but returned to Korea last month when filming was paused due to Covid-19 travel global restrictions.
This project will be the sophomore feature for director JUNG Da-won, following last year’s successful buddy cop comedy Miss & Mrs. Cops, which welcomed over 1.6 million viewers (USD 11.4 million).
Your and My Season was expected to commence principal photography in August of this year, but that start date may be delayed owing to ongoing scheduling issues arising from the current global health crisis.
