Korea-Indonesia Film Festival to Screen 20 Films

Opening at CGV Blitz in Jakarta on October 28th
 
 
Featuring 16 Korean films and four from Indonesia, The Korea-Indonesia Film Festival is preparing to launch its 2015 edition at the CGV Blitz Grand Indonesia at the Pacific Place in Jakarta on October 28th. 
 
Running until November 1st, the festival will concurrently take place at Electronic City in Bandung, Teras Kota in Tangerang, J-Walk in Jogjakarta and Plaza Balikpapan in Balikpapan. Opening the festival will be KWON Oh-kwang’s Collective Invention, which was just released in Korea following its Toronto International Film Festival premiere last month, while LEE Byoung-heon’s youth comedy Twenty will close the event at the same venue on November 1st.
 
Beyond the opening and closing galas, the other Korean films to screen in Indonesia this year will include RYOO Seung-wan’s Veteran, KIM Gwang-tae’s The Piper, CHOI Dong-hoon’s Assassination, KIM Tae-yong’s Set Me Free, PARK Jin-pyo’s Love Forecast, YOON Jae-gu’s Perfect Proposal, JK YOUN’s Ode to My Father, BAE Seong-sang’s SM Town The Stage, KIM Joung-hoon’s THE ACCIDENTAL DETECTIVE, and OH In-chun’s Mourning Grave, as well as the animated shorts Cloud Bread by JANG Jae-yoon and Robocar Poli by EOM Jun-yeong.
 
In addition, Indonesian films will also be made available, following their including in the lineup for the first time last year, including Angga Dwimas Sasongko’s Filosofi Kopi, Budi Kurniawan’s Biji Kopi Indonesia (Aroma of Heaven), Kuntz Agus’ Surga yang Tak Dirindukan and Anggy Umbara's Tiga.
