Davao, Philippines Event Begins November 12th
The
Busan Film Commission will host the FLY Project, which will aim to develop directorial talent from Korea and ten ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Countries) countries. The FLY Project, which is organized by the Busan Film Commission along with AFCNET, the Philippines Film Development Committee and the Davao National Film Festival, will take place for two weeks starting November 12th.
22 young directorial talents from ten ASEAN countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) as well as from Korea are working on pre-production and during the FLY project period, they will participate in master classes and other programs on producing short films and other topics, which will be led by industry professionals from Korea and other countries.
Adolfo Bronaga Alix Jr. will take part as a directorial mentor and along with him, Albert Banzon and Maisa Demetillo, who have worked with him, will also lead participants by teaching cinematography. Lecturers from the AFA of the
Busan International Film Festival will also attend the event. Director
LEE Moo-young will teach script writing and direction while SONG Jin-yeol of the IM Kwon-taek Film and Arts College of Dongseo University will be in charge of cinematography classes. Music director
BANG Jun-seok will lead film music classes.
