<Pig Iron> is a 30 minute dramatic narrative. Iron ore is super heated in a blast furnace to make pig iron, which in turn is used to produce steel. The making of steel is a continuous process. Pig iron is moved from the blast furnace to the steel plant by railroad. The trains are operated by remote control.

`121231James Benning is leading the America Avant-garde film world with his unique films which portraying America via landscapes. He visited 7th JIFF with his film <One Way Boogie Woogie: 27 Years Later> and came back to JIFF once again with <RR> and <Cast a Glance> in 2008. His films deliver a newer view and understanding on film as a medium with showing arranged images along with his own rhythmically principals. With his work implying much more meanings beyond ones seen on screen, we can experience a totally different cinema world.
