His family is struggling to deal with the old man's senile dementia, brought on by the death of his wife. He often goes out without a word, leaving his family to frantically search for him. As time goes by his dementia grows more severe, and it is his daughter-in-law who is left to take care of him. She puts him to sleep, stroking his back when he is upset. She washes him. She introduces him to nice and refined old women to date. Moreover, she cleans up his false teeth and washes his urine-stained sheets. He does recognize her care, so he listens to her more than to his son and daughter. Yet in spite her effort and pain, his illness is not getting better….
