Meanwhile, a U.S. military base is established across the river and a band of prostitutes that cater to the soldiers set up a whore town near the base. The antagonism between the villagers and Eon-rae and her girls becomes acute. The consecutive deaths of the village children are the catalyst for an emotional explosion.
