Jung-ok lives with her disabled father and two younger sisters. At fifteen, she must make a living to take care of the family. Nam-do who attends night school decides to enter the air force academy where he can get monetary support. But exhausted from working at the factory, he fails the test and heads to Seoul. Nam-sik is disappointed by the turn of events but he begins to grow vegetables in a green house. But when their grandmother takes ill, he must take care of the housework too. Faced with bad weather which ruins his greenhouse, Nam-sik doesn't give up and he finally succeeds in his vegetable harvest.
