MYUNG FILMS LAB is the filmmaking training institution and film production structure of Myung Films Cultural Foundation, an affiliate of Myung Films, with which it strives to discover and support emerging talent. Initially founded as ‘Myung Films Institute’ in Paju in 2015, Myung Films Lab chooses every year promising pitches from debuting directors and then selects upcoming producers, screenwriters and actors with whom it will develop and produce the projects for the next couple of years, while providing seminars and accommodation for all involved. Its first completed project was CHO Jae-min’s debut feature <A Stray Goat> (2016), which also benefitted from the support of Jeonju Cinema Project. It was followed by <In Between Seasons> (2018) from LEE Dong-eun, who went on to direct the critically-acclaimed <Mothers> (2018) with the help of Myung Films, and <Park Hwa-young> from LEE Hwan.
