KwangHwaMoon is an independent film collective comprised mostly of former students of the Korea National University of Arts - 5 directors and 2 producers - who take different roles for each project. After several fellow students helped KIM Tae-gon make his second feature film <Sunshine Boys> (2012), contributing to the production costs and working on the set for free, he suggested the creation of a collective with the aim to allow each one of them to make their debut. Branding themselves as an association instead of a production company, the members intend to keep working together on smaller-scale projects even if they end up famous. Their name, which comes from a famous landmark of Seoul located close to the studio they rented together, quickly became known among indie film aficionados. In order to tease the audience but also find investment, each film has a post-credit scene introducing their next project.
