Studio Dadashow is an animation studio that creates films intended for an adult audience. Founded in 2004 by YEON Sang-ho, better known as the director of <TRAIN TO BUSAN> (2016), the studio produced several award-winning short animations before making a name for itself with its first feature <The King of Pigs> (2011), which won the NETPAC Award at the Busan International Film Festival and became the first Korean animated film to be invited to the Cannes Film Festival. Their next feature, <The Fake> (2013) picked up Best Animated Feature Film at the Sitges Film Festival. The studio also made the headlines in Korea for its R-rated straight-to-VOD film <Shining Modern History> (2014), based on the web comic of the same name, which explores the messy love life of a 30-something man who is about to get married. Since 2016, Studio Dadashow has been working in close relationship with RedPeter Films, producing together <Seoul Station> (2016), which works as a prequel to <TRAIN TO BUSAN> (2016), as well as their first animation film for children, <Kai> (2016).
