Fantagio is an integrated entertainment company engaged in film and TV show production, talent management, and music production. Initially founded as N.O.A. Entertainment in 2008, it first ventured into the film industry with a participation in rom-com <Finding Mr. Destiny> (2010). Soon after its rebranding in 2011, the company turned its film division into its own subsidiary, Fantagio Pictures, as part of a major reorganization. It then partnered with Samgeori Pictures to produce the influential court drama <Silenced> (2011), based on the real-life case of sexual abuses committed by teachers and administrators at a special institution for hearing-impaired children. This was followed by <Love Fiction> (2011), an “anti romcom” starring GONG Hyo-jin and HA Jung-woo. Both releases beat the odds to become commercial hits despite their unconventional subject matters.
