Founded in 2009, the independent film house MOCUSHURA Inc. produced and co-distributed the features EIGHTEEN(2009) and SLEEPLESS NIGHT(2012) were invited to more than 50 international film festivals each and won many awards, as well as released in Korea and received evenly favorable reviews from audiences and critics.
Co-produced with Japan’s Nara Film Festival in 2014, A MIDSUMMER’S FANTASIA was released in the summer of 2015 in Korean theaters and attracted more than 36,000 audiences. The film has been hailed as the year’s best film by the Association of Korean Independent Film & Video(KIFV) and a leading Korean film magazine CINE21 selected the film as one of the top 10 Korean films of 2015.
MOCUSHURA Inc. produced and distributed director Shin Dong-min’s feature debut MOM’S SONG. The film won the best film awards at the 21st Jeonju International Film Awards and the 20th Jeonbuk Independent Film Festival, and was theatrically released in October, 2021.
Created by the Muju Film Festival and co-directed by Jang Kunjae, VESTIGE (formerly known as MOONLESS NIGHT) was produced and premiered at the 25th Busan International Film Festival and invited to the 46th Seoul Independent Film Festival.
