Doomsday Book wins Best Film at Fantasia

Doomsday Book depicting three symptoms of the end of the world has won the Cheval Noir Award for Best Film at the 16th Fantasia International Film Festival, the biggest genre film festival in North America. <Doomsday Book> has drawn a lot of attention for being invited to numerous renowned festivals around the world and the film has once again become the center of focus for its win at Fantasia. Doomsday Book beat out competition from other Korean films such as
Nameless Gangster : Rules of the Time and
Punch.
Fantasia Film Festival Programmer Nicolas Archambault said about Doomsday Book, that “it was a natural choice”, adding “KIM and YIM deals the topic of doomsday with wit and a poetic viewpoint. They make us think about our influence on planet earth and it's an artistic, original film that an international audience can enjoy.”
Doomsday Book has also been invited to the Sitges Fantastic Film Festival, which is the oldest genre-oriented festival in Europe as well as one of the top three fantastic festivals in the world. As invitations are pouring for Doomsday Book, expectations remain high for the film abroad.
