Korean actor KIM Beom has been cast for  the main role in famed Hong Kong director TSUI Hark’s (A Chinese Ghost Story; Once Upon a Time China) next action film, Detective Dee: The Prequel (working title). KIM’s agency announced that he is to appear in the film, set to open in 2013, along with other young Asian talent. China’s FENG Shaofeng and Hong Kong model/actress Angelababy have also been cast for the project, which began shooting last month in Hengdian, China. KIM is set to fly to China later this month to join filming. KIM said of the project that he is, “Extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with director TSUI Hark and that he would do his best to do justice to the film.”
